“FemChem Origin Workshop”

We are proud to announce the FemChem workshop, focusing on the software Origin. Origin is extremely valuable for scientists to analyze and present data in a professional way. The seminar will include the demonstration of graphing and analysis features as well as practical demonstrations and the possibility for individual questions and input.

What can you expect?  

This seminar will focus on a hands-on training for scientists and provide them with the information and expertise to use Origin more effectively.

Some topics, that will be addressed are:

  • Ways to import data to Origin
  • How to prepare advanced diagrams and present your data for publications, theses, etc.
  • How to create themes and templates
  • Ways to analyze your data, such as:
  • Curve Fitting,
  • Peak Analysis,
  • Integration,
  • Peak Deconvolution,
  • Statistical Analysis
  • and many more!

We will provide plenty of time for questions and discussions and participants are requested to send their specific questions in advance to ce_femchem-request@list.tuwien.ac.at.

Hard Facts 

This one-day training will take place in person on Friday, May 13th 2022 from 9-17 h at Getreidemarkt 9 (room BA10B).

The course will be held in English by the experienced trainer Markus Höhnen from the company ADDITIVE GmbH. Participants are required to bring their own laptop with the installed Origin software from 2022, which you can download here: https://www.originlab.com/restricted/download.aspx after creating an account. If you do not want to acquire a TU student license (http://www.sss.tuwien.ac.at/sss/ori/, 9.8 € per year), which we recommend, a one-month trial license for the software will be provided by us. You can use both licenses for the to activate the software from 2022.

We are happy to announce, that female AND male chemists are allowed to participate.

To get the best learning experience from this course, the number of participants is limited to 30 participants, first come first serve.
