We proudly announce our second course of this year! In cooperation with the TU Career Center, we offer a tailored career planning workshop on May 13th or May 23th 2024 from 9-17 h. The course on May 13th will be in German and on May 23th in English.
Application training for members of the technical chemistry faculty
Would you like to find out more about career planning and applications or prepare for starting a career in industry?
In this full-day workshop, you will benefit from tips from the TU Career Center HR experts and exchange ideas with your fellow students in an interactive format.
In the application workshop you will learn:
- why early career planning makes sense
- how you can approach the job search & what you should pay attention to in your research
- how to analyze job advertisements
- about the design of application documents (CV, letter of motivation)
- about application differences in academia & industry
- how you can optimally prepare for job interviews
- how to present yourself and your competences in the application context
- how to develop realistic salary expectations & arguments for salary negotiations
Hard Facts
- 13th of May (German) – the course consists of an interactive 1-day training in person at Prechtlsaal at Karlsplatz, from 9-17 h. The course will be held in German.
- 23th of May (in English) – the course consists of an interactive 1-day training in person at the seminar room Lehar EG (component BC) at Getreidemarkt, from 9-17 h. The course will be held in English by the experienced trainer from the Career Center Tanja Elgendy.
To address each participant individually, the number of participants (max. 20 participants) is limited. Registration (see below) is possible for students and scientific staff members of the Faculty of Technical Chemistry only.You will be notified if your registration is confirmed for this date. Please make sure to bring a CV to the workshop printed or digitally.
