w-fFORTE Online-Session for Women from Research & Innovation

17.06.2021, 09:30-11:30

Is the FFG the right contact for me? What else does it have to offer besides grants? How do I get to the right information quickly? Are there other women who have already successfully submitted projects or use services? What can I learn from them?

If you work in research and innovation looking for orientation towards the FFG, we invite you to get to know us better. In a relaxed atmosphere, experts from the FFG and successful innovators give insights into the “FFG world” and are available to answer questions.

This is what awaits you:

Warm-up with speed dating Round table on the FFG with Henrike Hügelsberger (FFG – Strategy & Data Analysis) & Andrea Kindler (FFG – Head of Funding Service) Discussion with successful project managers & alumnae of w-fFORTE INNOVATORS: Louise Beltzung (Austrian Institute for Applied Telecommunications) Ingrid Kaltenegger (JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH) Meliha Honic (TU Vienna) Moderation: Charlotte Alber (FFG – w-fFORTE)

So that we can prepare the session well for you, we ask you to send us your first questions in advance (mail to w-fforte@ffg.at)

Who do we want to address: Women from research and innovation who want to get to know the FFG better and want to exchange ideas with other women to implement their ideas or projects.

What is the session not aiming at: To answer detailed questions about funding programs or the handling of projects ask specific questions about the project (e.g. whether a project is suitable for submission or why it was rejected) If you have questions like this, the respective experts from the specific programs will be happy to help you (you can find contacts on our website) or the FFG funding service (https://www.ffg.at/foerderservice) for general questions.

Non-target group: People from funding service & research management, funding agencies or professional funding consultants At this w-fFORTE online event (powered by BMDW), we want to specifically encourage women to put their ideas and research projects into practice.

The reason for this is statistically obvious: According to the ÖSTAT survey, the proportion of women in the entire R&D area is around 24%. In addition, the growth in the proportion of women in the corporate sector is stagnating (16%), while the proportion of women in the university sector continues to increase slowly (around 36%). There is a particular lack of women in the leading roles and roles that are visible in projects in application-oriented research!

Requirements for online participation: The online workshop will be held via ZOOM. Participation is only possible with a stable internet connection and active audio and video functions (microphone, webcam). Confirmed participants will receive the invitation link for ZOOM access before the workshop. In order to enable a good exchange, the number of places to participate is limited.

Important information for registration: Registrations are usually considered in the order in which they are received and according to the number of places available. In the case of events with a target group orientation, we reserve the right to reject participants who have registered in time and who do not correspond to the target group. The automated email confirmation alone does not entitle you to participate. The event starts on time. Participation places are forfeited for those arriving late.
