FemChem offers great possibilites to reflect our own approach to the topics of Identity, Diversity and Gender. It actually forces us to do so. After all – why do we have FemChem?
Starting from simple questions like:
-Is your working situation at TCH different, just because you are a woman?
-Do you experience this as advantageous or disadvantageous?
we will increase our awareness for our own behavior and the environment we work in.
Tools will be discussions, exchange of experiences, self–monitoring and establishing links to existing acitivties at TU-Wien and other organizations working on the topics of Identity, Diversity and Gender.
At the present we do not hold regular meetings, but try to meet at the monthly ‘FemChem-Lunch’ to arrange follow-up meetings, if desired. This gives the chance of a regular exchange of ideas.
